In short: A new build in Aintree follows the National Construction Code. A stage inspection checks the work against these rules and the approved plans, not a generic checklist.
Checking the frame against drawings
The frame must match the approved plans. We verify the positions of walls, windows and doors against the engineering and the drawings for the Woodlea Estate build.
NCC compliance in the wet areas
Wet areas in Aintree need waterproofing that meets NCC standards. We look for correct waterproofing membranes and drainage during the frame and lock-up stages.
Fixing defects at the right time
Minor defects found at the framing stage are easier to fix than after plaster. We report these so the builder can correct them before the next inspection.
A PCI is only the final check
A pre-purchase inspection uses AS 4349.1. For a new home, the stage inspection follows the approved drawings, engineering and the Guide to Standards and Tolerances. A PCI is the final step, not the first.
