In short: A new house in Woodlea Estate must meet the NCC and engineering. We look for slab issues, plumbing leaks and finish problems before the PCI.
What we check at slab stage
We verify the approved drawings, engineering and the NCC. We check the slab thickness, mesh placement and the Guide to Standards and Tolerances.
Why Aintree is different
The area is still developing near the Woodlea Campus. Ground conditions can change, and this affects the slab stability.
Common slab items
Mesh touching pipes, vapour barrier draped over the steel and too few bar chairs all appear on stage inspections.
What happens next
We provide a written report with photos and recommendations. You can use this to organise rectification before the PCI.
Written by our local inspection team from work carried out in Aintree. Licensed building practitioners.
